August Meeting Recap

For August we met at Rachael's house then walked over to the State Fair. It was a great evening of conversation, beverages, snacks, and $1 milkshakes. We were all really excited when we saw the sign for the milkshake special. Plus, it was free admission day as well.

This guy was one of cuties we saw right away. Can anything else just scream Indiana?

Off to the Home and Family Arts Building to admire the handy-work of some fellow Hoosiers. This quilt was hanging right as you come in. Very bright and inviting.
Lots of traditional quilts were showcased. Hopefully next year a few of us can try and enter our county fairs and represent IMQG.

We also checked out the non-quilting stuff...cakes, crochet, sewing and even Lego cities.

For September please bring a fat quarter with you to Quilts Plus. We will be doing a block challenge. If you haven't showed off your Habitat Challenge yet, please share as well. Can't wait to everyone in September.

  1. Thanks for the tushie shot, Tisha!!

  2. Looks like a fun time. If I can make it to the Sept meeting are there any rules about the type of fat quarter to bring? And also will people be sewing at Quilts Plus or mainly sewing off work and chatting?
