January Meeting Recap

For the January Meeting we met up at French Seam another one of the "newer" fabric shops we have here in Indianapolis.
We had excellent attendance with new faces and some old favorites as well despite the snow outside. Everyone brought the most beautiful projects for show and tell. And Courtney of French Seam donated supplies for us to make the cutest little pattern weights from yo-yo makers - and much to our surprise most of us had never used a yo-yo maker! We followed up with some yummy cupcakes and shopping to round out the day. Here are some of the projects we saw.
Rachael's + quilt
Yo-yo making
Val's Charity String Quilt which a handful of the guild members contributed too.
Yummy Cupcakes.
Tisha shared her purple and pink square quilt.
And her almost finished "Tear Challenge Quilt"
Barb shared this fantastic "alaskan deer quilt" I think that was the name but don't quote me.
As well as a smaller project.
One our newest members, Nancy, shared her pennant quilt those little pennants flap (too cute)
Elizabeth shared Amanda's first finish EVER because Amanda couldn't join us. Love those bright colors
Holly shared a project she's working on with Liberty fabrics.
We also loved the back of it.
Lisa brought an older project to share made with a charm pack. Cute!
Rachael also shared her Amy Butler quilt which will be a gift for an upcoming wedding.
Thanks so much to COURTNEY and FRENCH SEAM for letting us invade your store and for providing projects and cupcakes - it was fantastic!
More photos coming soon to our flickr stream.
Hope to see you at the next meeting February 18th at Crimson Tate. And stay tuned for information about our March Events!
