April Meeting Recap

We had a great meeting in April.  Hosted by Crimson Tate at the Davalon Building which offered us extra space and as an added bonus its still close enough to walk down to the shop and get some quilting goodies.  Anyhow here's a recap for anyone who missed this meeting.
We kicked off the meeting with Show and Tell.  And let me tell you the projects guild members are cranking out are FANTASTIC.  It makes me so excited to be a part of the guild (some photos below others coming soon to our Flickr).
We followed up with a few announcements.
  • NO meeting in May (but keep quilting so we can see those projects in June/July/August)
  • Next Meeting will be in June- date and details will be posted soon.
  • IMQG will be hosting a First Friday with Crimson Tate this summer (probably August) where our Quilts will be on display in the store and possibly on the cultural trail and we plan to have an ice cream social.  Members are welcome to create pieces to display more information will be posted soon.
  • The IMQG Throw-down event will be in early fall.
After announcements everyone got a little sewing socializing time and we took a field trip to Crimson Tate for some yummy fabric.

THANK YOU so much to Heather & Crimson Tate for hosting us and giving us each a free fat quarter - that's the BEST.
Now for some photos...

  1. It was a great meeting! Thanks for showing off my 5 years old niece quilt. She seems to enjoy fabric as much as I do. I can't wait for the June meeting.
