IMQG May Meeting Recap

We had a good meeting in may at the Speakeasy a pretty good turnout.
Lots of people shared the Round robin blocks they have been completing and others shared their recent finishes.
The blocks for the charity quilt need to be wrapped up soon if you are interested in helping they should be pink, gray and white and can be any size.  Please turn in at the June meeting.
New business -
Indianapolis modern Quilt Guild will begin taking dues before the end of the year.  Our parent national guild is requiring this to remain part of the modern guild and to retain our affiliation this is a next step.  It will also grant us 501c3 status and guild management tools.
We are currently anticipating that dues will be around $25/year and we hope that this will allow the guild to also have other activities throughout the year.
The leadership team is currently working on by-laws and other logistics and as more information becomes available it will be shared.
We don't foresee the vibe or format of the guild changing, things will just become more official on the backend.
It will also allow guild members to get access to attend quilt cons and sewdowns.  If you have questions please email us indymodernquiltguild@gmail.com
A few of the horrible photos I took.  Sorry the lighting at the speakeasy leaves a little to be desired.
A round robin being shared.
Holly's recent finish.
Megan's recent finish.
Tisha Mondrona road challenge.
