Strings of Hope

As part of our ongoing effort to give back to the Indianapolis community we make a quilt every year for a local charity.  This year members voted between Riley Hospital and The Julian Center.  Both charities do great work in our city and it was a tough choice.  The Julian Center won the votes.

They have a fundraiser tomorrow that our quilt will be a apart of, Julian Jam.  As of last week when I dropped it off it was either going in the auction or would be given as a gift to their speaker.  The speaker was just a child when her family came to the Julian Center.

I entitled the quilt "Strings of Hope".  It represents the blocks we used, string blocks, and fits the message of The Julian Center.   Hope and support for those that are affected by domestic violence.

I am blown away with the fabric choices.  It made me smile to look through and see scraps that I've used before or seen your quilts.  Ladies, this quilt is so colorful.

Meghan rocked the layout, it adds real dimension to this quilt.  Tammy did a great job with quilting and binding.  Thanks Jennie for the batting.

Thank you to everyone that helped make this quilt possible.  The Julian Center was so excited to receive this for their event.  The staff was in awe of our work.  I'm just sorry you couldn't see it in person.

Wonder what we will create next year?
