March Meeting Recap

We had a wonderful meeting with Amy and all her quilts from her new book "Paper Pieced Modern" (which is out now, so go pick one up if you haven't. You won't be sorry!)

To be sure, Amy was very excited to show us all the quilts from the book in person.

She even let us touch them!! *Gasp* It was really fun getting to ask questions and see the quilts up close. Pictures are amazing, but in person is always better.

This quilt, "The Bachelor", is HUGE.

Pointing out the amazing quilting done by Angela Walters.

Comparing two quilts that are design variations of each other.

After Amy's trunk show (a.k.a. super awesome show and tell). We had our own monthly show and tell. Molly's applique she started at the retreat.

And her rather intense sampler block quilt top. Kudos to Moly for all those tiny pieces!

Michele is on top of the holidays this year with "Mr. Chillingsworth".

Holly had a large stach of blocks to show us, and we can't wait to see what they look like sewn together!

Meghan's finished "round robin" quilt, started with other members of the IMQG and quilted at the retreat.

She also used some of Amy's book quilt scraps for a new quilt. Keeping scraps really pays off sometimes!

And last, but not least, a block of Meghan's own design. Keep this one in mind as it might pop up again. (*Hint* Meghan is our speaker for the April meeting). ;-)
