2015 Theme Challenge

You are challenged to create a quilt that is inspired by “travel” using any technique or combination of techniques.

  • March Meeting – Theme announced at guild meeting, general overview of challenge.      Q & A and Sign-ups begin.
  • May Meeting – Deadline for signing up for participation. 
  • September Meeting – Quilts due at Guild Meeting.  Voting and awards.

  • A quilt is defined as a sewn project consisting of three layers: top, batting (middle) and backing. 
  • Quilts may be any size or form the creator wishes. 
  • You can employ any technique or combination of techniques to achieve your depiction of the theme (paper piecing, applique, whole cloth, embroidery, etc.)  
  • Please include a label with a brief description of your inspiration and how/why you used the techniques you did in your quilt.

The Indy Modern Quilt Guild will present the first place winner with a gift certificate to a local fabric store.
