August Meeting Recap

We had another great meeting in August. With a huge turnout and a great location (Paradise Bakery in Castleton) how could we go wrong? We had quite a few show and tells, returning new members, 2 awesome trunk shows, and let's not forget the delicious cookies. :) As usual, let's start the parade of pictures!

Meghan's work in progress.

Holly's massive king sized Liberty quilt. She was stashing this fabric for awhile! Also, it was very hard to get a good picture of such a large quilt. :/

Jennie's start block.

Tammy's first meeting was in July and she started these blocks at that meeting. Then brought the finished quilt in August. Way to go, Tammy!

Katie's finished Riley Blake challenge quilt.

Katie's double sided baby blanket.

Karen's finished Riley Blake challenge dress. Amazing!!

Karen's dyed fabric.

Karen was on a roll this month! She also finished her wonky log  cabin quilt she was working on at the July meeting. You guys, we need a bigger space for pictures will these awesome giant quilts!

I missed out on a few show and tells because of the lighting. :( But I did manage to get a semi-decent picture of Tisha's finished quilt.

Here are a few fun pictures of the group. We did take up a large corner of the cafe. :)

Rachael went first with her trunk show. She brought a lot of really cool modern quilts. She wasn't afraid to show mistakes, because after all, quilting is supposed to be fun and creative!

Next up was Michele. She even brought the very first quilt she ever made!

A HUGE thank you to Rachael and Michele for sharing their life's quilty work with us! We look forward to seeing future quilts and future trunk shows of IMQG members!
