IMQG January 2016 Monthly Meeting!

We are making a few changes to the monthly meetings in 2016! Changes we hope will make it easier and funner (er.... more fun) for everyone to attend meetings!

While we are still meeting on the Third Sunday of the Month, we are going to start meeting in the Same Place at the Same Time for every meeting! (With the exception of the February Retreat and December Holiday Party). And that space is the RAD center down off of Mass Ave near Crimson Tate! The time will be 1pm-5pm.

Now onto the January Meeting of 2016.

When: Sunday, January 17, 2016 @1pm-4pm

Where:  the Mass Ave RAD Space next to Crimson Tate in the 800 block of Mass Ave. It's in the building just about 1/4 of a block away from the shop, enter in the back and watch for the signs. There is street parking (free on Sunday) and limited lot parking.

+Show and Tell: Be sure to bring an item (finished or still in progress) to show the group!

+Playing with Quilt Design Workshop: Molly Isenbarger will be giving us our first workshop of the year! This workshop will be focused on getting you to think creatively about the key elements of modern quilting and how you can play with them to brainstorm new designs for future quilts! We will start with Anna Maria Horner's structured color activity , then break into 3 mini activities to play with designs, and finally come back as a group to share back some of our favorites and takeaways. This will be very hands-on for every person at the meeting and hopefully inspiring for new projects in 2016!

+Quilty Yard Sale: This activity is just what you'd expect. If you have any quilting related items you would normal sell at a yard sale (or just want to donate to other members) bring it to the January meeting. You can sell/barter/donate until your heart's content!
